Job Summary:

Accounts Receivables Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

- Generate and send out invoices to customers

- Follow up on outstanding payments and communicate with customers regarding payment status

- Conduct account analysis to identify and resolve billing errors or discrepancies

- Process credit memos and adjustments as necessary

- Assist with data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing

- Maintain documentation of customer interactions and transactions

- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations (e.g., SOX compliance)

- Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned

- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and follow up as necessary

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Previous experience in accounts receivable or related role

- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft) and MS Office Suite

- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

- Knowledge of medical billing processes is a plus

- Experience in public accounting is a plus
